From The Stress Barrier

ACCEPTANCE AND RESPECT

When we accept any fact we spontaneously develop a respect for it.   Respecting someone means accepting someone.   When we respect the president of our country, we accept the person as the president of our country.   When we accept a person as the president of our country we can respect that person as the president of our country.   Non-acceptance and disrespect cause most of life's struggles and stresses.   Acceptance and respect are closely linked.   If we respect ourselves it becomes very easy to respect others- and it happens spontaneously.   When we respect ourselves as capable of doing something we also accept the fact that we have that capability.   Life becomes easy knowing our capabilities and respecting them.   It enables us to perform to our full potential.  When we respect ourselves and accept ourselves the way we are, it becomes easy to accept others and respect others spontaneously and unconditionally.   Respecting Nature and accepting whatever comes our way is a significant move towards helping ourselves deal with Nature.   We can deal with Nature without necessarily fighting it.   If we accept that fighting, as violence, is the last resort for dealing with any problem, respecting Nature becomes very easy. When we respect Nature it enables us to work along with it.  When Nature works with us, there is manifold increase in our energies, because we are tapping into those unseen resources that push us to move forward in life.
