ACCEPTANCE AND RESPECT
When we accept any fact we spontaneously develop a respect for it. Respecting someone means accepting someone. When we respect the president of our country, we accept the person as the president of our country. When we accept a person as the president of our country we can respect that person as the president of our country. Non-acceptance and disrespect cause most of life's struggles and stresses. Acceptance and respect are closely linked. If we respect ourselves it becomes very easy to respect others- and it happens spontaneously. When we respect ourselves as capable of doing something we also accept the fact that we have that capability. Life becomes easy knowing our capabilities and respecting them. It enables us to perform to our full potential. When we respect ourselves and accept ourselves the way we are, it becomes easy to accept others and respect others spontaneously and unconditionally. Respecting Nature and accepting whatever comes our way is a significant move towards helping ourselves deal with Nature. We can deal with Nature without necessarily fighting it. If we accept that fighting, as violence, is the last resort for dealing with any problem, respecting Nature becomes very easy. When we respect Nature it enables us to work along with it. When Nature works with us, there is manifold increase in our energies, because we are tapping into those unseen resources that push us to move forward in life.

Anything done slowly, with full focus and minimum stimulation, is a form of meditation. The characteristic quality of meditation is the minimising of sensory stimulation. Even farmers and gardeners meditate, simply by working on the land with a focused mind. Because the work involved is slow, with little sensory stimulation, such activities are relaxing. Activities that minimise stimulation similarly, are meditative in nature. (Page43)
DEALING WITH ISSUES FROM YOUR PAST
To deal with any issue that bothers you from your past, do the following exercise. Close your eyes and recall the incident from start to finish, as fast as you can go through it. Do it again. Do it again and again and again, until you become comfortable with it. Some restlessness, anger and sadness may be experienced in the process. (Page58)
